Dr. Clare Katuramu is a doctorally prepared Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. As Co-Owner of SBHS, she provides leadership grounded in clinical excellence, integrity, and compassionate care.
Dr. Katuramu earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from Boston University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Framingham State University, and a Bachelor of Science from Bridgewater State University.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Katuramu has served as faculty at Roxbury Community College School of Nursing and previously held the role of Program Chair at the Medical Career Center in Waltham, Massachusetts. She has also contributed to textbook chapters in Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC) (2013).
At SBHS, Dr. Katuramu provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy. She is dedicated to creating a collaborative treatment environment where patients feel respected, supported, and actively involved in their care.

Connie is a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in both adult and geriatric psychiatry. She has practiced in England and Massachusetts, bringing a broad, international perspective to her clinical work.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Connie worked as a nurse in England and gained significant experience in inpatient psychiatric settings. Her background in hospital-based mental health care provides valuable insight when supporting patients who require higher levels of care. She understands the complexities of inpatient treatment and is skilled at coordinating care, navigating systems, and advocating for patients and families during transitions between hospital and community settings.
Connie is known for her compassionate and attentive approach. She is particularly skilled in geriatric and adult psychiatric care, providing thoughtful medication management and supportive therapy tailored to each individual’s needs.

Chizo is an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who provides comprehensive medication management and supportive therapy. She is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, individualized care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
Known for her gentle and compassionate approach, Chizo takes the time to truly listen and understand her patients. She prioritizes building trusting therapeutic relationships and creating a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected.
Chizo is deeply committed to her patients’ overall well-being. She often goes above and beyond to ensure they receive the care and attention they need, reflecting her genuine dedication to improving mental health and quality of life.

Lynda is a seasoned Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in substance use and addiction care. She is certified as a CARN (Certified Addiction Registered Nurse) and has a deep understanding of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and other recovery-focused interventions.
Lynda has worked across multiple inpatient and outpatient facilities, serving both as a provider and administrator. Her broad experience allows her to support patients navigating the unique challenges of substance use with compassion, practical guidance, and encouragement. She helps patients develop strategies for stability, recovery, and long-term wellness.

Ijeoma is a kind and compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner who is deeply committed to helping her patients feel seen, heard, and supported. She brings a calm, gentle presence to her work, creating a space where patients can feel comfortable opening up and being themselves.
Ijeoma brings fresh, up-to-date knowledge and a strong dedication to providing thoughtful, individualized care. She takes her time with each patient, listening carefully and paying close attention to the details that matter.

Nursing | Substance Use Specialist
Mbiira (Beeda) is a registered nurse with extensive experience in nursing rehabilitation and substance use care. She is proficient in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing expert support to patients navigating recovery.
In addition to her clinical work, Mbiira holds administrative roles at multiple area facilities and serves as the Nurse Manager at a Nursing Rehabilitation facility in Brockton, Massachusetts. Her combination of hands-on patient care and leadership experience makes her a valuable resource in both clinical and operational settings.
At Sunrise Behavioral Health, Mbiira oversees our Vivitrol administration program, ensuring safe, effective, and supportive care for patients receiving this treatment. Her dedication, knowledge, and compassionate approach help patients feel supported throughout their recovery journey.

Patrick has vast experience in public health, having worked with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for many years.
At SBHS, he is in charge of all administrative aspects of our practice.

Kemi serves as the Office Manager for our private psychiatric practice and is often the first point of contact for our patients. She plays a vital role in ensuring the practice runs smoothly and efficiently, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
With strong organizational skills and a compassionate approach, Kemi oversees daily office operations, appointment scheduling, patient communications, billing coordination, and administrative support. She is dedicated to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and responsiveness in all aspects of her work.

Lindsey is a valued member of our front desk and administrative support team. She helps ensure that each patient’s experience begins with a warm welcome and continues with clear communication and efficient service.
In her role, Lindsey assists with appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, phone inquiries, and general clerical support. She works closely with both patients and clinical staff to help maintain smooth daily operations within the practice.
